The SP15506 is designed with a simplicity that makes it reliable and easy to operate and maintain. All the mechanical transmission components are accessible from outside the current path. There are no parts hidden inside the conductors. Twin gear-set/pull-rod assemblies provide easy adjustment and stability. All parts are fabricated from extruded aluminum or machined from solid billet materials, such as 304 stainless steel and hard drawn copper.

Key features of our SP15506 Semi-Pantograph Disconnect Switch
The innovative patented trapeze system uses dual spring‑loaded struts to position the contact bar correctly in the jaw. The struts allow upward travel during jaw engagement and counteract lift to ensure a perfect final position.
Thanks to the trapeze mechanism, the switch uses a simple jaw design with proven spring‑loaded contact fingers providing the required contact pressure. No mechanically actuated jaw components are needed, making the SP15506 the most reliable semi‑pantograph due to the absence of small actuators in the jaw and blade.
The doubled gear‑sets are made from aircraft‑grade high‑strength aluminum and tested for 3,000 cycles. EMSPEC keeps the mechanical transmission and compensation springs outside the conductor tube, ensuring they remain fully accessible for inspection and maintenance.
